Dr. Brittany Oliver

Dr. Oliver is a board-certified dermatologist and Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC), where she also serves as the Associate Program Director of the newly accredited UMKC Dermatology Residency Program.

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida., Dr. Oliver completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, after which she went on to graduate with distinction from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. While there, she received several awards including the Walter F. Rosenberg Award in Dermatology, bestowed upon the medical student who demonstrates the greatest interest, proficiency, and scholastic achievement in dermatology. She remained in Washington, DC to complete her internal medicine internship at MedStar Health Georgetown-Washington Hospital Center. Her dermatology residency then took her to the University of Pennsylvania, where she received top-notch training in adult, pediatric, surgical and cosmetic dermatology in addition to dermatopathology from internationally recognized experts in the field. After graduating and spending three years in private practice, she joined the growing team at UMKC/University Health Department of Dermatology.

Dr. Oliver practices general medical and surgical dermatology with a special interest in pigmentary disorders and hair loss. She is passionate about mentorship and the power of sharing knowledge and clinical skills with compassionate, motivated residents and students with the ultimate goal of improving patient care, advocating for underrepresented groups in medicine, and contributing to larger efforts to move the field forward. Dr. Oliver is recognized as a Top Doctor in Kansas City Magazine and as a Rising Star Doctor in dermatology by Castle Connolly. She has been featured in numerous online articles and blogs including WedMD, Vogue, Wall Street Journal, Allure, HuffPost, and more.
